PRINT PRODUCTION IDEAS

The slightly out of focus shots created by the Lomokino create a home-style video feel to the film. This will add to our music video as it focuses around an ordinary story and character(much like a home video), the montage clips will enhance this idea too as often many clips of different places or people are usually placed together. This idea is presented in some of the sequences in Amelie, the scenes reflecting Amelie's childhood are edited to look like a film camera creating a home video style. This is important for our piece as Amelie is also focused around one female character and her emotions and also ties in with the links of colour in the film.

The blue tint in these shots was unintentional, and although works very well with the shots that have a blue background it does not provide anything for the yellow or red shots. For these shots we will need to slightly colour correct them in editing to ensure that the colours are clearly different and prominent as this is a key feature in our video.

The close up shots work best with the Lomokino as overcrowded shots are usually out of focus, the more minimal the shot, the better the quality and focus of the camera. The colours in many of these shots stands out, and because this is the focus of our music video, the print production must show.

PRINT PRODUCTION IDEA

The blue tint in these shots was unintentional, the first few shots of Katie with the background of the house work well with this  however the blue may become too repetitive on our print productions and so many of these shots will either need to be colour corrected or re-shot. Another a problem with a few of these shots is that the main focus of our print productions will be the colour, and because these are only blue, the essential motif our video will be lost.

Some of the shots are also fairly faded this could be due to a number of things, although is most likely to be overexposure when filming.
