ADVERT IDEA 2
The second idea I had for the advert was to draw another photo of our main character, this will help to engage my primary target audience and references our video more explicitly than the drawing of the artist.
Initially I drew the background of the photo but felt it made the picture too busy, and that it would be more effective to either have the main character alone or use the drawing of Cromer behind her.
PRINT PRODUCTION ADVERT INSPIRATION
FILM: INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS (2013)
"Inside Llewyn Davis is a 2013 American comedy-drama film written, directed and edited by Joel and Ethan Coen. It was produced by Scott Rudin and Ethan and Joel Coen. Set in 1961, the film stars Oscar Isaacin the title role as a New York City folk singer, alongside Carey Mulligan,John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, F. Murray Abraham, and Justin Timberlake. The film follows one week in the life of Llewyn Davis, a folk singer struggling to achieve musical success while keeping his life in order." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Llewyn_Davis)
The independent film was partly inspired by 60s American folk artist Dave Van Ronk (1936-2002) who inspired and promoted many upcoming folk artists at the time such as Bob Dylan.
Dave Van Ronk -far right hand side- next to young Bob Dylan.

The promotional posters for the film were designed as a promotional poster may be for a musician, and were hand drawn to reflect the genre of music/the genre of the film.
This is something I would like to do for the magazine advert to both reference my digipak and the folk genre of the track.
