Goodwin's theory of lyrics and visuals suggests that the lyrics often have an association with the video, there are a few lyrics that could possibly be used as a reference in music video. The line 'There's shapes here in the dark' could possibly go with our idea of the edit creating a distorted scene, e.g through the use of split screen and mirroring. 
The lyrics also present a break-up, 'you ran away', it may be an interesting idea to explore the idea of being alone. This would link to our intertextual reference of Amelie.
